On the 8th, at an interview for Netflix's series 'Squid Game 2' conducted at a café in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Park Sung-hoon expressed his regret, stating, "I sincerely apologize to everyone affected by my significant error."
Park Sung-hoon conveyed, "I approach this interview with a heavy heart, concerned that my actions may have impacted those working on the project. I invite any criticism directed at me. Nonetheless, I hope our work is viewed favorably," he commented, visibly emotional.
He elaborated on the situation regarding the accidental upload of the mature content photo of 'Squid Game 2' on social media. He explained, "The incident occurred shortly after the premiere of 'Squid Game 2,' during a time of active audience engagement. I found the concerning image in a direct message right before leaving my location. I was displeased and intended to report it to the appropriate party, but it was mistakenly uploaded in the process. That day's error felt out of my control. I promptly deleted it and did not watch the video. Some have speculated that I might have tried posting it on another account, but I have only one account," he disclosed. "I apologize once more for making an error that could spark controversy during these challenging times."
On the 30th of the previous month, Park Sung-hoon posted and later removed a poster featuring an adult video with a 'Squid Game' theme on his social media. Following this event, BH Entertainment stated, "It was mistakenly uploaded while checking a direct message." As public concern continued, BH Entertainment further explained, "Park Sung-hoon received the adult video cover through a direct message and, recognizing its problematic nature, intended to forward it to a company representative. During this process, he downloaded the image and was supposed to delete it after sending it to the representative, but it was accidentally posted."
